Sophomore Jaquan Lax’s thirteen points in the second overtime period as Bolivar Central outlasted Sacred Heart in a thriller to begin the season on November 13 in Bolivar.
Both Bolivar Central and Middleton saw their seasons end on October 26 with losses in their final games.
Bolivar Central’s first win since August came on the strength of a 29-point third quarter and two 100-yard performances from running backs as they defeated Westview 52-31.
The Middleton Lady Tigers finished their season in the first round of the Region 6 tournament at Trinity Christian on October 9, falling to Loretto in straight sets.
The Toone Lady Bobcats won their third Hardeman County Middle School Softball championship in the last four years, beating Hornsby 12-3 in the final game at Middleton Middle School Softball field.<
