Tigers Start Season with Two Wins

Sophomore Jaquan Lax’s thirteen points in the second overtime period as Bolivar Central outlasted Sacred Heart in a thriller to begin the season on November 13 in Bolivar.
The Tigers had the last shot in both regulation and at the end of the first overtime, but came up empty both times before pulling away in the final period.
Lax led five Tigers in double figures with 24 and in rebounding with 10 boards. Also in double digits were Tovarius Woods with 16, Jeff Norment with 14, Antavious Shaw with 13, and D.J. Smith had 11. Norment and Smith shared the assist lead with six.
In the girls game, Hailey Hardaway led the Lady Tigers with 27 in the 62-42 victory.
