Middleton Finishes Season at Regionals

The Middleton Lady Tigers finished their season in the first round of the Region 6 tournament at Trinity Christian on October 9, falling to Loretto in straight sets.
The Lady Tigers led the first set 4-3, but gave up seven straight points and fell 25-10. Coach Zeke Craft called a pair of timeouts to stop the bleeding but couldn’t make a comeback.
Set two was tied at 10, but quickly became 20-10 and Loretto eventually won 25-17. Set three was more of the same and ended 25-16.
Coach Craft said the season was the toughest in years.
“We played the toughest schedule we have played in years,” said Craft. “We just couldn’t win the close ones.”
Seniors Alana Kennamore, Haley Downen, Brooke Darling, and Ally Sisco played their last games for Middleton on Tuesday night.
Middleton ended their year 14-14, finishing second in the District 12 regular season and in the district tournament, qualifying for the regional tournament for the fifth year in a row.
