Bolivar Middle School and Middleton Middle School came up one game short of a trip to Murfreesboro, bowing out in their section championship games.
As the Bolivar Central Lady Tigers cruised to a 64-36 win over Ripley on January 29, it had another significance: Bolivar Central Head Coach Rick Rudesill’s 800th coaching win.
Bolivar Central got a pair of wins on January 22 against Millington to keep both teams in the top half of the district standings at the half way point in the league season.
Middleton defeated Whiteville 55-31 in the boys final to win the Hardeman County Single A Boys Middle School basketball championship on January 16.
