Bolivar Rotary Donates $$$ for Defibrillators

The Bolivar Rotary Club donated $1,000 to Bolivar General Hospital and Friends of Heart Foundation to place AED Defibrillators at various points in Hardeman County.

According to Ruby Kirby of Bolivar General Hospital, Friends of Heart will match any funds the hospital raises, meaning the $1,000 becomes $2,000 and four defibulators can be purchased.

“We will see where they are most needed,” said Kirby, adding that they have four more weeks to raise funds for the project.

“They are already in schools, but are needed in small communities,” she added.

Kirby says the defibrillators have instructions that anyone can use to help save a life.
