To spay or not to spay. That is the question

Not much of a question when you consider that 3.7 million unwanted animals are euthanized in the United States every single year.Where do they come from? Consider this: If one unspayed female dog and her mate are allowed to continually breed and their offspring remain unspayed and are allowed to breed, the result after six years is 67,000 dogs (Yes. sixty-seven thousand.). The sad part of this hypothetical, yet mathematically sound observation, is over half will be euthanized.
