Beauregard is Firefighter of the Year

Mauriceo Beauregard has been named the 2022 Firefighter of the Year for the Bolivar Fire Department.

He began his career in the fire service as a volunteer firefighter for the Toone Fire Department in 2016.   He also currently serves as a volunteer firefighter for the Grand Junction Fire Department.  Mauriceo joined the Bolivar Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter in July 2021.

“During Mauriceo’s service with the department, he has provided countless hours of service in fire suppression and operational support roles.  His willingness to serve the residents of Bolivar and this department has earned him this most esteemed honor,” said Fire Chief Lynn Price.

Mayor McTizic added, “Mauriceo’s commitment and dedication to the residents of Bolivar exemplifies the characteristics of a public servant.  We are extremely proud of his accomplishments and thank him for his unwavering service.”

Mauriceo is married to Monica Beauregard.  He lives in Bolivar and is a graduate of Central High School.  In his spare time, he is a substitute teacher, a member of Zion Temple Worship Center, and loves to play the drums.
