Upgrading the Infrastructure

The August 2015 approval of a new home for the Hardeman County EMS and annex for the Bolivar Fire Department is finally taking shape in the form of a metal building on the corner of Lucy Black Road and State Highway 64 West.
“The construction on the new building is really going well now. There were setbacks due to engineering plans and the fact that the building was rated the same category as a hospital. But now, we have all of the green lights and it is progressing smoothly,” said Hardeman County Mayor Jimmy Sain.
The facility, 70 feet wide and 320 feet long, has 10 bays to accommodate ambulances and two drive-through bays to house fire trucks. It will have separate sleeping, kitchen, and living quarters for EMS and fire personnel.
