Nehemiah Project Ready to Launch

Common Grounds, the coffee shop that will be the centerpiece of the Nehemiah Project 38008, plans to open for business on December 1.
The location at 313 West Market Street (previously Pulse Real Estate) in Bolivar is almost ready for customers, according to Terry Walley.
“We hope to have a soft opening before December 1,” she said. “We started wanting to help people with barriers to employment, no matter what the reason. But what we are finding is their particular barriers are legal issues relating to criminal backgrounds and they can’t get hired. There are training issues that are barriers to employment also. But we have a small number of people who are waiting to get to work.
