Destination Bolivar Begins

The City of Bolivar moved on November 19 to begin a project that has been on Mayor Julian McTizic’s mind for a long time.
It began as his proposal to purchase the area in East Bolivar known to locals as the “Sand Pit”, that was approved by the city council.
“We’re trying to create this area as a destination with walking trails, fishing, and hiking. The possibilities are endless,” said McTizic. “I have had a vision for this side of town and this is the first step.”
