Chelsey Perry Day in Hardeman Co.

Former Middleton Tiger basketball player Chelsey Perry came back to Hardeman County for Chelsey Perry Day, as proclaimed by Hardeman County Mayor Jimmy Sain, for a chance for both Perry to thank the community and the community to celebrate the accomplishments of the only player from the county to ever be drafted by the WNBA.

Prior to being drafted as the 26th pick last summer by the WNBA Indiana Fever, Perry’s college career with UT-Martin saw her finish as Tennessee-Martin’s all-time leader with 228 career blocks, third all-time in scoring with 1,963 points, fourth in career field goals made with 733, fourth with 768 career rebounds and also tied for fifth with Pat Summitt for career free throws made with 368.
