Chamber Hires New Director

The Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce hired Christine Korling-Torres as its new Executive Director, effective May 1. Korling-Torres brings with her a thirty-year background working for both state and local government in California as well as having been a small business owner.
Locating to Hardeman County in 2019 from California, she says she and her family fell in love with the people and communities of West Tennessee, and ultimately purchased a home and settled down in Bolivar.
ā€œIā€™m excited to serve our local businesses and collaborate to find ways to further enhance and spotlight Hardeman County as a desirable location for business, tourism and families,ā€ she said.
Korling-Torres replaces Laura Hall, who left the position earlier this year, taking a job with the University of Memphis.
