Bolivar Man Dies by Gunshot

Officials from the Bolivar Police Department made an arrest the same day in the shooting death of Jacquez Perry of Bolivar.
Perry died at 937 West Jefferson Street at approximately 12:35 a.m. on October 23.
During the investigation, information was obtained that identified Bryquez Buggs, age 21, of Ashland, Mississippi, as responsible for the shooting. Buggs was arrested on October 23, at approximately 3:30 p.m., through a coordinated effort between the Bolivar Police Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Highway Patrol, U.S. Marshal’s Service, and the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office.
Buggs was taken into custody without incident. Buggs will be facing charges of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Second Degree Murder in the death of Mr. Perry. He is being held at the Hardeman County Criminal Justice Complex pending court proceedings.
