Volleyball Has High Hopes

Hardeman County Volleyball teams will open regular season play on August 15 at Bolivar faces Hardin County at home and Middleton travels to Fayette Academy.

“With four returning starters and some of the younger players who have gained more experience, I feel we will be competitive in our district. The team has worked hard this summer and I am excited for this season,” said Coach Kim Emerson.

Bolivar competes in District 13AA with Chester County, Hardin County, Jackson South Side, Lexington, and McNairy Central.

Middleton will attempt to qualify for the region for the eighth time in nine seasons. Middleton’s route  to advance and farther to the state tournament is tough as Loretto and Summertown have state championship quality teams each year.

“We have good pieces but we need to play together,” said Head Coach Zeke Craft. “We can have a great season and I believe we can win the district.”

Middleton plays in District 12A with Humboldt, Huntingdon, Jackson Central Merry, Madison Academic, and Scotts Hill.
