Sain one of 33 UU on GSC honor roll

Union University Freshmen Jon Sain, Bolivar Central High School graduate, is one of Union’s 33 student-athletes to be named on the Gulf South Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll. For the 2014-2015 academic year, Union placed 109 student athletes on the list with 63 in the fall, 13 in winter sports and 33 this spring.
Student athletes with a minimum 3.0 GPA gain a spot on the academic honor roll.
Sain was joined by men’s team golfers Hunter Travis and Trey Whitnell. The women’s golfers honored were Joy Cooper, KayCee Lindberg, Ann Elizabeth Lynch, Lindsay McRee and Sami Weber. In addition to the golf teams, 14 baseball players and 11 softball players made the list. Union baseball players honored were Trae Bain, Brady Cook, Marty Coursey, Andrew Coy, Jordan Luzod, Jim Martin, Daniel Mathis, Austin Orr, Hunter Smith, Caleby Warnimont, Shane Wilder, Andrew Wilson, Chaz Wilson and Zach Wylie. Softball team members were Alli Gaddis, Emily Bennett, Annette Castaldo, Whitney Christian, Caylee Crews, Summer Cross, Sarah Kreuter, Carter Mansolino, Kelly Robey, Reagan Schrader and Paige Taylor.
