Nelms Auto Body Wins 6U Title

Nelms Auto Body scored the maximum seven runs in innings two and three to pull away from AJ’s Sports and Awards to win the 2018 6U Dizzy Dean Baseball league by a score of 25-10 on June 8.
Managed by Bobby Hensly, Nelms Auto Body lost their last game of the regular season, but got some help in order to force a one-game playoff with AJ’s Sports and Awards for the league title.
Both Nelms and AJ’s lost to third-place Farmers Insurance the last week of the season, giving them identical 10-2 records. Since the two teams split the regular season series, the playoff was needed to determine the champion.
