CWA wrestling to hold benefit in Ripley, MS
CWA Championship Wrestling, an organization based out of Corinth MS will hold a benefit on Friday night, March 11 at the Tippah County Coliseum in Ripley MS to raise money to help with medical expenses and funeral costs for the mother of long time promoter and wrestler Rodney “Mega Man “ Grimes, who passed away in January.
The evening will be titled “A Night to Remember, Night of the Legends”, and will feature some of the biggest legends of the Memphis wrestling area, as well as several rising stars. Topping off the card will Be “Handsome Jimmy” Valiant, one of the biggest draws in the history of Memphis wrestling. In the 80s, when Valiant was on the card, the Mid South Coliseum in Memphis was always packed. Joining Valiant in the ring will be his son “The Boogie Woogie Boy” Gary Valiant.
