Cross Signs with Vol State

Bolivar Central Basketball player Desiree Cross signed May 10 to play basketball and attend Vol State.

“I’m super proud of Desiree,” began Bolivar Central Girls Basketball Coach Rob Parson. “The very first day of practice that we had she told me how she just wanted an opportunity to play at the next level. We talked about what it took to get to that level and believe me she has went above and beyond. She has done everything asked of her in the classroom, in the weight room and on the court. She was a great vocal leader for us and was a great floor general for our team. No one deserves this opportunity more than Desiree and I am very proud of her accomplishments this season. The future is bright for Desiree and I expect great things out of her in the near future!”

Vol State, located in Gallatin, is a part of the Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association (TJCCAA) and has ten member schools. League members include Walters State, Chattanooga State, Cleveland State, Roane State, Southwest Tennessee Community College, Columbia State, Jackson State, Dyersburg State, and Motlow State community colleges.
