BCHS girls tennis team struggles
The Bolivar girls had a rough time against Chester County at home on Monday March 16, losing 6-1.
In singles action, Bolivar lost all five sets. Macy Maples defeated Sadie Richardson, 8-0, Sarah Sails defeated Emma Burnett 8-1, Houston Holden defeated Meredith Owens 8-1, Alyssa Showers defeated Carly Weems 8-3, and Taylor Catlett defeated Katelyn Emerson 8-0.
In doubles, Bolivar split their sets 1-1. The Chester County team of Sara Sails/Alyssa Showers defeated Bolivar's Molly Barnes/Emma Burnett 8-4, and Bolivar's Taylor Sisk/Kelsey McKinnie defeated Chester County's Jones/McBee 8-6.
The Bolivar girls also traveled to Lexington on Tuesday, March 17, losing 5-2.
The girls were 2-3 in singles play, with Carly Weems defeating Eve Odel 8-6, and Katelyn Emerson defeated Katy Hayes 9-7, while Molly Barnes lost to Shelby Bowles 8-4, Emma Burnett lost to Mary Anne Goolsby 8-5, and Meredith Owens lost to Cam Khalat 8-3.
In doubles play, the team of Sadie Richardson/Emma Burnett lost to Shelby Bowles/Cam Khalat 8-5, and Taylor Sisk/Kelsey McKinnie defeated Goolsby/Snider 8-4.
Bolivar's record is now 0-3 (0-3 in district play).
