Pitzer honored at DAR state conference

Lexie Pitzer, daughter of Leah Pitzer and great-granddaughter of Evelyn Briggs, was recently honored at The State Conference of The Daughters of the American Revolution in Nashville, TN. The DAR sponsored a history poster contest and the topic was ‘Welcoming Home Our Tennessee Heroes from the Vietnam War.”
Lexie was the first place fourth grade winner in the state.
There was also a Tennessee History Hall of Fame at Lexie’s school, where she portrayed Kellye Cash, Miss Tennessee – 1986 and Miss America – 1987. Needless to say, history is Lexie’s favorite subject at First Assembly Christian School, where she is completing fourth grade this year.
