Lone Oaks Offers Students Shooting Simulator

This month, 4-Hers from all over West Tennessee have been congregating at Hardeman County’s very own Lone Oaks Farm for the fun-filled and educational Outdoor Adventures with Knowledge and Science. This two day camp is packed full with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (otherwise known as STEM) activities. The camp kicked off with the kids woodworking for wildlife where they built duck boxes to be placed around Lone Oaks. The definite favorite activity was O.A.K.S. Survival Mode in which they were placed in a natural disaster scenario and, after a lesson, had to gather as many items as they could to build a fire to boil water and to build a shelter large enough for two people.
