William David McGarrh

William David McGarrh, age 88 of Humboldt, formerly of Jackson and Hardeman County, passed from this life Monday morning, August 17, 2015 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar with John Sawyer officiating. Interment followed in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery.
He was a native of Hardeman County, born the son of Dan and Grace Jackson McGarrh. He moved to Jackson in 2003 and to Humboldt in 2010. On January 6, 1951, he was united in marriage to Maggie Mae Jackson. Mrs. McGarrh passed away May 27, 2010.
For many years, Mr. McGarrh worked as a commercial printer, both for the Bolivar Bulletin-Times and Bolivar Commercial Printing. He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served during World War II and retired from the Tennessee National Guard after 20 years of service.
