Vadeen McKeown

Vadeen McKeown, age 95 of Middleton, passed away Thursday afternoon, Feb. 11, 2016 in McKenzie.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 13 at Shackelford Funeral Directors' Middleton Chapel with Trent Childers officiating. Interment followed in Middleton City Cemetery.
Mrs. McKeown was born Monday, April 12, 1920, to the late Luther and Effie Yopp in Hardeman County. On Oct. 19, 1945, she was married to Ray McKeown, who preceded her in death Dec. 30, 1972.
Mrs. Vadeen taught first grade in Saulsbury and Pocahontas, and also worked with the Tennessee Department of Human Services. She was a member of the Middleton Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Freed Hardeman University and also attended the University of Miss.
