Nora Lee Carter

Nora Lee Roberts Carter, age 85, of Saulsbury departed this life Saturday afternoon, Jan. 23, 2016 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Carter were conducted at noon Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Dr. Virginia Finzel officiating. Interment followed in the Memphis Memory Gardens in Memphis. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
She was born January 11, 1931 in Memphis. She received her education in the Memphis City School System and was married for 46 years to Roy E. Carter. She was a lifelong resident of West Tennessee and was a member of the Grand Junction United Methodist Church. Mrs. Carter was employed as a school bus driver and a teacher for the Hardeman County School System before her retirement and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed preparing food for her family and friends and sewing.
