Mr. Thomas Reaves

Thomas Reaves was born August 8, 1955 to the late William O. Reaves and Coren Reaves in Saulsbury. He was ninth of 13 children. Funeral services was held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at noon at New Saint Luke MB Church with Pastor Melvin Bufford in charge and Pastor Dennis Blaylock Eulogist.  Burial was in the  Mt. Zion Cemetery-Saulsbury with Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) in charge of the professional service.
Raised in a Christian home, at the age of 11 Thomas accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord an Savior at Bowden Hill CME Church where he served as a trustee. He later united with Mt. Salem MB Church, where he also served as trustee. Then the Lord called him to unite with New Saint Luke MB Church in Jackson, where he faithfully served as co-chair of the trustee ministry from 2006-2007 and as a dedicated member of the trustee ministry for over 10 years until his health prevented him from attending worship.
Thomas was educated in the Hardeman County Public School System. In 1978 he received his bachelor of science degree from Tennessee State University in Nashville.
