Michael Eugene Mayfield, Sr.

Michael Eugene Mayfield, Sr., age 50 of Stanton, passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 19, 2015 at Regional Hospital in Jackson.
A memorial service was held Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar.
A native of Bolivar, he lived most of his life here before moving to Haywood county four years ago. He was the son of Margaret Cossar Mayfield and the late Curtis Wright Mayfield. In his younger years, he attended Walnut Grove Baptist Church and was a long-time employee of Simmons Logging where he drove a skidder.
On Sept. 8, 2009, he married Jennifer Elaine Cartlidge. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.
