Marie Rainey

Marie Rainey, 92, of Middleton, departed this life Sunday morning, September 13, 2015 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Middleton with Samuel Cox officiating. Interment followed in Rogers Springs Cemetery.
A native of Alcorn Co., MS, she was the daughter of the late Emit and Alcie Earnest Russell and lived most of her life in this area. She was the widow of Hughs Rainey who died September 7, 1976. A Baptist in belief, Mrs. Rainey was retired from Harmon Automotive after 16 years of service there. She had also worked at Hardeman Garment. In her leisure time, Mrs. Rainey loved to sew, cook, tend to her flowers and her garden and enjoyed going dancing. Most of all, she loved caring for her family.
