Mamie V. Majors

Mamie V. Majors, age 88 of Bolivar, passed away early Sunday morning, Feb. 7, 2016 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 9, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar with Charles Frost officiating. Interment followed in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery.
She was a native of Hornsby, the daughter of the late Clarence N. and Mamie Price Lowrance and lived her entire life in Hardeman County.
For many years, Mrs. Majors was a CNA at Bolivar General Hospital and also worked at Kilgore for more than six years. Additionally, she was owner/operator of Majors' Grocery near Bolivar. Her church membership was at Dixie Hills Baptist Church, but she also attended Trinity Baptist Church in Bolivar.
