Lucille Allen

On Friday, Dec. 25, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, God dispatched an angel to retrieve the soul of Lucille Allen from an ailing body and delivered her to a place of eternal peace in heaven.
Serves were held Saturday, Jan. 2 at Union Hill M. B. Church Whiteville. Hardeman County Funeral Services, Inc. had charge.
She was born April 16, 1928 to the late Virgus and Gussie Bills. She grew up in Hardeman County and later married the late James Allen in 1944. To that union they had 13 children. Her spiritual nurturing for the last 48 years was at Jones Grove M B Church in Hickory Valley. Throughout her life, she was a homemaker and also worked as a domestic service provider. She was the oldest mother of her church and was known for having a loving spirit. Lucille lived her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and Christian. She will forever be missed by all of those that were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alllen and one daughter Earnestine (Johnny) McKinnie, along with her parents and five brothers.
