Lucien E. (Bud) Puckett, age 93, of Bolivar, departed this life Sunday evening, May 31, 2015 at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital.
The husband of Margaret Price Puckett, whom he married on January 30, 1948, he was retired as a Lt. Commander in the US Navy, serving in World War II and Korea as a pharmacist. He was born August 13, 1921, in Danville, Alabama, son of the late Rube E. and Mattie Kirby Puckett and lived on several naval bases throughout the United States, moving back to Bolivar in 1970 after his military retirement to work as a pharmacist for Western Mental Health Institute. He retired from there in 1985 and began working part time for Hudson Drug Store.
