Katherine Howell passed from this life on Sunday morning, September 6, 2015 at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.
A native of Hardeman County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Lacey and Cercia Willoughby Thornton. She lived all of her life here. On August 12, 1939, she married Bro. Alvin Edward Howell. They were together for 61 years before his death April 13, 2001. Mrs. Howell served actively with her husband during his tenure as a Baptist minister. She was a member of the Cloverport Baptist Church. A retired Hardeman County Schools bus driver, she also worked at Vaughan Hardware in Bolivar.
