Joanna McAlpin, 81 of Middleton, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 26, 2015 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.
She was born Wednesday, July 25, 1934, to the late George W. Fritts and Hattie C. Fritts in Ellenville, NY. She married William Estel McAlpin on May 15, 1947, and were happily married until he passed on Sep. 23, 2003. She was a member of the women's "3" Sunday school class at Dixie Hill's Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, going to church, eating out, raising babies, and going to the Tennessee River. She loved her husband and her dog "Harley." She was also a very talented cook. She lived in this area since she was eight years old.
