Elizabeth Sammons Gale

Graveside services for Elizabeth Sammons Gale were held Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery near Whiteville.  Mrs. Gale, 94, of Winter Haven, Fla. passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at her residence.  
She was born Nov. 2, 1921 in Whiteville to Alvin Carnell and Beulah Aileen Little Sammons and moved to Florida in 2000.  Preceded in death by her husband Donald Gale, Sr. in 2009, she is survived by: three sons, Dr. Donald Gale, Jr. and his wife, Beverly, of Celebration, Fla, Dr. John Gale and his wife, Pamela, of Golden, Colo., and Dr. Timothy Gale and his wife, Laura, of Flowery Branch, Ga.; a sister, Linda Cross and her husband, R. A., of Bolivar; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
