County Gets Chancery Court Grant

Hardeman County will receive money to upgrade the Hardeman County Chancery Court facilities due a grant received through the Administrative Office of the Courts Security Grant Program.
The $9,000 grant will go toward a walk-through magnetometer, panic button, and security camera for the courtroom located in the Hardeman County Courthouse at the corner of Market and Main Streets in Bolivar.
“We hope the above purchases will provide greater security for the judges, citizens, and staff using your courthouse facilities,” read the grant letter.
Statistics support that chancery courts have the highest level of violent incidents among all courts.
