Bertha Lee Dixon Bennett

Bertha Lee Dixon Bennett was born September 20, 1915 in Alcorn County, MS, the daughter of the late James Birt and Minnie Lee Mullin Dixon.
She was united in marriage to J. D. Bennett on December 28, 1933. Bertha was a faithful member of Essary Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church and attended as long as she was able to go. She knew Jesus as her Savior for many years. She enjoyed quilting, cooking for her family, her flowers, her yard, and her brothers and sisters in Christ. She was a good wife, mother, mawmaw who loved her extended family and friends. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Bennett departed this life on September 7, 2015 in Bolivar at the age of 99 Years, 11 Months, 18 Days.
She is survived by a daughter, Judieth Mullins (Ray) of Pocahontas; a son, Clayton Bennett of Eads; five grandchildren: Abby Johnston (Rob), Betsy Fugatt (David), Angelia Huels (Keith), Michael Mullins (Angel), Mark Mullins (Jeanne); nine great grandchildren: Amelia, Sadie, Kelsey Johnston, Forrest Fugatt, Kayla Whittaker, Hunter Huels, Christian Mullins, Willow Mullins, Julie Mullins; two great great grandchildren, Layne Costro, Wyatt Whittaker; a sister-in-law, Joyce Nelson (J.W.); and a host a other nieces, nephews and friends.
