Shave and a Haircut...for Sixty-Six Years

Sixty-six years and counting: Danny Cheshier, owner of Danny’s Barber Shop in Bolivar celebrated 66 years in business, with family and friends joining him at the shop for a surprise reception.

Cheshier said, “when you enjoy what you are doing it doesn’t seem like work and I have enjoyed every day that I have been able to do this. I am glad to see my customers and am also glad to sit and visit with folks who drop by to see me. I don’t plan to retire – I am still having fun!”

Bolivar Mayor Julian McTizic presented him with a certificate and declared Monday, May 20 as “Danny Cheshier Day”. Danny’s is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
