Bolivar General Providing Life-Saving Equipment

The employees of Bolivar General Hospital raised $4,500 to help purchase defibrillators for seven locations in the county.

Easter baskets, potlucks, yard sales, and silent auctions were just a few of the ways they reached their goal along with help from a group from Jackson.

Friends of Heart, a non-profit serving West Tennessee, is focused on heart health and helping provide a matching amount of $500 per unit was their contribution.

Plans are to distribute the units county where they will have the biggest chance to be used.
