Hardeman County's first gun swap program is wrapping up
Hardeman County's first gun swap program is wrapping up today at noon. A large bag of prescription pills was submitted along with several guns, to be properly disposed of. Pleasant Grove Church in Grand Junction, Dixie Hills Baptist Church and Hardeman County Mayor Jimmy Sain were on hand to accept the submitted weapons and pills and provide gift cards for weapons that were turned over.
All weapons except one were functional, with some still having fully loaded magazines.
Organizers said they are planning on having another one in the future.
We will have complete coverage of the event in next week's Bulletin-Times.
