Car accident involves 5 jail inmates

A vehicle carrying five Hardeman County jail inmates back to the Criminal Justice Complex (CJC) from work detail was hit by another vehicle yesterday afternoon. Law enforcement officials and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene on W. Market Street, in front of the BP station, and closed that portion of the road while crews worked the scene. The inmates and deputy driving the vehicle were transported to Bolivar General Hospital and released shortly afterward.
