On the Square to Host Tenth Anniversary Celebration

On the Square Gallery and Gifts, LLC opened in the fall of 2011 at 109 North Main in Bolivar.  Owning a shop that specialized in local art and fine handcrafted gift items had been a dream of Deborah Turner Brasfield long before she became an artist herself.

Ms. Brasfield had fleeting thoughts of trying to open that type of shop in downtown Memphis when she first moved to the Midsouth in 1981 but all the financial pieces had not aligned.  She and her husband purchased a weekend house to get away from the hustle and bustle of Shelby County life. They both enjoyed being here almost every weekend and decided to eventually call Hardeman County their home.  Ms. Brasfield pursued the purchase of a downtown building in Bolivar and opened in October 2011 as On the Square Gallery and Gifts, LLC.  A dream that had become a reality.    

The 10 year business anniversary celebration will be held Saturday, November 6, from 1:00-5:00 p.m., with live music with Chase Antwine from 2:00-4:00 p.m.  Refreshments will be served, special sales, door prizes.  On the Square Gallery and Gifts, LLC offers original art and photographs, fine handcrafted wooden bowls, pens, candleholders, gifts, décor, vintage and new.
