Doss Honored by County in Retirement

It was a packed house in Middleton at Simmons Bank as friends, family, community members, and bank employees came together for the retirement of Jo Doss from her 37 year career. Hardeman County Mayor Jimmy Sain presented Mrs. Doss with a proclamation proclaiming December 29, 2017 as Jo Doss day in Hardeman County:
Whereas, Jo Doss was born February 3, 1954 and married George Doss on May 18, 1975; and
Whereas, Jo Doss welcomed her daughter Kelly Doss Brewer on April 15, 1978; and
Whereas, Jo Doss began her long career in banking in 1980, initially as a teller at Hardeman County Bank which became First South Bank. First South Bank was acquired by Simmons Bank in 2017; and
Whereas, Jo Doss became the proud grandmother of Lily Jo Brewer on July 11, 2001, and Hudson Doss Brewer on October 10, 2008; and
Whereas, Jo Doss has been a faithful member of Middleton church of Christ for many years and has remained very active in various organizations in her community throughout her lifetime; and
