Bowden keynote speaker for fourth Sunday worship service

The Hardeman County Commission for Black History will culminate its annual events on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. at Zion Temple Worship Center (COGIC) in Bolivar, Pastor Wendell Sain.  The keynote speaker for the Fourth Sunday County-wide worship service will be Pastor Gene A. Bowden.  
He is a native of Middleton, born to the late William (Hamp) and Indiana Lake-Bowden.  He attended Bolivar Industrial School in Bolivar and later graduated from Middleton High School in 1971. He’s also a graduate of Draughon’s  College in Memphis, where he studied Business Administration and Accounting.  He is a veteran of the United States Army.
