Greetings from Toone! Well, summer has come and gone, and now we are entering fall and the homestretch of 2014.


Our prayer list is as follows: Grace and Bobby Bynum, Wilma Bynum, Cleo Snellings, Lee Carter, Novice Yopp, Curtis and Marjorie Hines, Margie Lovelace, Aurthur and Jo Bryson , Connie Dusek.


A nice lady from Bolivar mailed me a copy of “Oh, Dem Golden Slippers.” A neighbor, also brought me a copy. I  learned it was written by James Bland in 1879.


Last Wednesday, we were in Memphis for a doctor’s appointment, and were headed home when our phone began ringing.  We learned about the escaped fugitive in the Middleton area.
