BHCB, NAACP distributes school supplies to students

The Bolivar Hardeman County Branch, NAACP (BHCB, NAACP) held its annual Back-to-School/ Stay-in-School drive, making stops in Grand Junction, Bolivar and Whiteville. Students who attended received bags filled with grade required supplies, so they will be able to begin the new school year prepared and ready to learn. The drive, that began as a smaller event in Bolivar almost 20 years ago, has grown from equipping a handful of students for the school year to 800 students in kindergarten through twelfth grades. To view more please log in or subscribe to the digital edition.
