BEA Community Calendar for the Week of 3/16/23

The Bolivar Hardeman County Library will host Spring into Reading Storytime March 16, April 6 and 20, and May 4 and 18 at 10:30 a.m. each morning. They will also host the Brown Bag Book Club March 13 at 12 p.m. and Sassy Seniors on March 14 and 28 at 10:30 a.m and Lego Club on March 21 at 3:30 p.m.

There will be a Loss Group Support Meeting on Sunday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grand Junction United Methodist Church at 138 Tippah Street South.

Rockland Road with Small Shack will come to the Hardeman County Arts Council April 8 at 7:00 p.m.

The Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce will host a Women in Business Luncheon April 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bolivar Municipal Building at 211 N. Washington Street in Bolivar. Tickets are $25 for chamber members and $30 for non-members. Call Vickie at 731-658-6554.

The Middleton Library will have Basic Chair Yoga for Arthritis:  Wednesday, March 29th @ 12:00; This month’s Book Club Pick: The Midnight Library by Matt Heig; Basic Gardening Classes: Thursday March 16th & 23rd @ 12:00 Lee Sammons, our UT Extension Agent, will be with us to teach beginner gardening skills. Please sign up at the Middleton Library or call 376-0680 for more information; Preschool Storytime:  Thursday, March 16th @ 1:00; Family Movie Day: Saturday, March 18th @ 11:00; Crafternoon for Adults: Tuesday, March 28th @ 1:00.

First Baptist Church in Grand Junction will host an Easter Kids event with a bounce house, food, and fun on April 1 at 10:00 am. For more information call 731-764-2317.

The Hardeman County Arts Council will host Magician and Illusionist Braden Foster May 13th, 2023 at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 10 and can be purchased online at www.hcactn.org or at the door.

GED classes are being offered weekly at the Grand Junction Public Library, located at 530 Madison Ave W in Grand Junction. It opens at noon Tuesday-Friday. For more information call 731-764-2716.

Bolivar Masonic Lodge #608 meets the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Grand Junction Community Walk every second Saturday of the month at the city park, if it rains it will be at the Old Cotton Gin.

Grand Junction will host a community yard sale Saturday, April 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..

Grand Junction will host their Spring Bazaar Saturday, May 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 216 Highway 57 East.

Loaves and Fishes Food Bank needs all non-perishable food items. Call 609-2397 to drop off your donations. Canned fruit and protein items are most needed.
