DAR Chapters Join to Honor Ingle

The Hatchie Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) joined with the Fielding Lewis Chapter DAR of Marietta, Georgia on June 12th to honor and pay loving tribute to Anne Jacobs Ingle.  Anne was the daughter of Colonel Marvin Jacobs and Mary Ryerson Jacobs and wife to Charles Terry Ingle. She was a graduate of the University of Memphis and served as Editor and Associate Publisher at the Bolivar Bulletin Times.  She also worked in community affairs at the Hardeman County Board of Education.

Anne joined the DAR in December of 1984.  She eventually transferred her membership to the Fielding Lewis Chapter in 2015.  She was an unwavering advocate for the DAR in both chapters and was a beloved friend to all fellow daughters, thus inspiring the marking of her grave at Bolivar Memorial with a commemorative DAR marker.

The DAR (https://www.dar.org/) is dedicated to historical preservation, education, and patriotism; all accomplished by the efforts of its chapters at the local level.  If you would like to learn more about the Hatchie Chapter, please e-mail hatchie@tndar.org.
