Boys Win District

The Bolivar Central Boys Golf team advanced to the regional tournament September 25 at the Tennessee River Course after winning the District Championship by 11 strokes on September 18.

Junior Carson Daniel shot a 74 to win the individual championship, while freshman Will Zawacki had an 83 for third place. Kyle Hammons had an 87, Collin Maybury a 92, and Clay Strope shot 96. The top four scores of five team members counted toward the team total.

Also qualifying for the region championship was Meredith Whitfield, who finished third with a 104.

“We didn’t quite have our A-game today, but we kept fighting and came out on top,” said Coach Jordan Stack. “I am very proud of Meredith and the boys team for representing Bolivar Central in a great manner.”
