Old Hatchie Veterinary Clinic Marks 70 Years in Business

Seventy years ago with a shake of the hand, a diploma, one child, and $30 to his name, Dr. Richard Wilhite opened the first vet clinic in Hardeman County.

Richard was one of two 1953 graduates from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine who lived in Tennessee and intended to come back after college.
