Ayris Approved as Hardeman County Magistrate Judge

The Hardeman County Commission approved Benjamin M. Ayris to assist Boyette Denton with aspects of his duty as General Sessions Judge in Hardeman County.

Ayris, who resides in Hornsby with his wife Genia Beth (Barnes) Ayris, came to Hardeman County from Florida, where he was an attorney for the state in the office of Public Defender, defending approximately 5,000 cases in that capacity.

His education includes an MBA from the McAfee School of Business at Union University, where he played baseball for the Bulldogs.

Approved for a year appointment, Ayris anticipates his helping Judge Denton with probable cause hearings, preliminary hearings, juvenile issues including violation and detention hearings, helping with warrants, bonds, arraignments and other duties.
