BENEFIT 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for Bud Harris at Pocahontas First Baptist Church.

JUNE 27-30
AUDITIONS Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 30 from 6-8 p.m. for Cinderella at the The Hardeman County Arts Council (HCAC) located 1580 West Market Street, Bolivar.  Children, ages 13 years old and older, are encouraged to audition. There are a few roles for younger children and about three adult roles that need to be filled. Call Brandon Burvee at (731) 518-6404 for more information.

JULY 4
Hickory Valley’s Annual 4th of July Picnic and Parade
Register and line up for the parade at 10 a.m. at the Hickory Valley Gin. Be creative, decorate yourself, a tractor, motorcycle, bicycle wagon or build a float. Parade starts at 10:30 a.m.. Picnic immediately follows the parade.  Bring a lawn chair and a dish to share with your neighbors. The town of Hickory Valley provides hot dogs with all the fixings, lemonade and iced tea. At the Hickory Valley City Hall, 7115 Rt. 18 South.
